Hrithik Roshan backed Storm goes on floor as Ajitpal Singh eyes February wrap

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan has shifted gears from on-screen action to behind-the-scenes powerplay — his production banner HRX has officially started filming a Prime Video Original series tentatively titled Storm. The project, which has been generating steady buzz since its announcement, is now on the floors and moving quickly.

Production kicks off in full swing

Sources reveal that shooting for Storm is a tightly planned, largely start-to-end schedule. Ajitpal Singh, who serves as the show’s director, writer and creator, is steering the project and the makers are aiming to wrap principal photography by February. The focused timeline suggests the team wants to maintain momentum and keep the narrative intensity intact.

    Hrithik Roshan: a hands-on producer

Hrithik has been closely involved from the scripting and pre-production stage. Insiders say he and Ajitpal spent considerable time exchanging ideas, and Hrithik is particularly excited about the script. He is a fan of Ajitpal’s earlier work — notably Tabbar (2021) — and believes the director will bring a distinctive blend of style, substance and sensitivity to the series.

    Ensemble cast and creative team

Storm boasts a strong ensemble led by powerful female characters. The principal cast includes:

    • Parvathy Thiruvothu
    • Alaya F
    • Srishti Shrivastava
    • Rrama Sharma
    • Saba Azad (in a key role)

Produced by Hrithik Roshan and Eshaan Roshan under HRX Films — a division of FilmKraft Productions — the series is written by Ajitpal Singh along with François Lunel and Swati Das. Prime Video officially announced the show last October as part of its Originals slate.

    What Storm is about

Set against the bustling, unforgiving backdrop of Mumbai, Storm is described as a high-stakes thriller that explores ambition, secrets and survival. The narrative spotlights women navigating intense, pressure-packed situations, promising an emotionally charged and suspense-driven storyline that leans on character depth as much as plot twists.

Where this fits into Hrithik’s career

On screen, Hrithik was last seen in War 2, and he’s also reported to have an intense cameo in Alpha, the upcoming spy thriller starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari that forms part of Aditya Chopra’s YRF Spy Universe. With Storm, he appears to be expanding his creative footprint by backing premium, content-driven streaming drama.

    Expectations and the road ahead

With shooting underway and a talented creative team on board, expectations are high for Storm to be a standout addition to India’s streaming offerings. The combination of Ajitpal Singh’s gritty sensibilities, a female-led ensemble and Hrithik’s production backing makes the series one to watch as it moves from set to screen.

While a release date hasn’t been announced, fans and industry observers will be keeping a close eye on updates as the makers push to complete filming and move into post-production.
